STEP 10 – COOLING, SOOTHING PEPPERMINT RECIPES

broken image

Most exercise involves your feet, so, at the end of the day, they can use some pampering, especially if you spend time on your feet for your job as well. This Peppermint Foot Soak will relieve your aching feet and reenergize you. It will also help cleanse your toes and toenails.

PEPPERMINT FOOT SOAK

•  Baking Soda

•  Epsom Salt

•  5–10 drops PEPPERMINT Essential Oil

Mix Baking Soda and Epsom Salt. Add PEPPERMINT Essential Oil. Mix into a basin of warm water. Soak feet anywhere from 15–30 minutes.

TIP: Amount used depends on the size of your basin. You will probably want approximately 1/2 cup of solution. The ratio should be 3:1 Epsom salt to baking soda. So, for one cup solution, you’d use 3/4 cup Epsom salt and 1/4 cup baking soda. Either measure out right into the basin or make a large batch ahead of time and store in a glass container.

PEPPERMINT COOLING SPRAY RECIPE

This spray is super simple and will help cool you off:

Fill a 2 oz. glass spray bottle with water and add 3–5 drops PEPPERMINT Essential Oil. Shake before each use and spray! You can substitute witch hazel or aloe for water, or use a combination, depending on your preference and what you have on hand.

TIP: The cooling sensation of PEPPERMINT feels great, but not when it gets in the eyes. Do not spray on the face. If you want to cool your face, spray onto a towel or washcloth and then (carefully) dab on your face.
